Google released the February 2023 product reviews update on 21st Feb 2023 at about 5 p.m. ET. It marked the update complete on the Search Status Dashboard on 7th Mar 2023, after 14 days.

It was the sixth release of the product reviews system, as Search Engine Land documented. The earlier updates came in April 2021, December 2021, March 2022, July 2022 and September 2022.

The headline change was language coverage. Every previous product reviews update applied to English only.

This one applied globally in 11 languages. They were English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Russian, Dutch, Portuguese and Polish.

Google Search Central's announcement said the update "applies to these languages globally", listing all 11.

It also opens the Search Status Dashboard era of this log.

From this update onward, rollout start and end times come from Google's public dashboard history. They no longer come from scattered announcements.

And it was the last update to carry the product reviews name.

The April 2023 reviews update renamed the system. It broadened the system to reviews of anything reviewable.
