Google Search Console opens Instagram reporting to every account
Search Console's platform properties opened to all accounts worldwide. That completed the staged rollout that began on 7th Jul.
The product is a new Search Console property type. It covers Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube accounts.
It carries Performance reporting (clicks and impressions), Insights and Achievements. No website is needed.
An account can now see which of its posts drive traffic across Search, Discover and News. It can also see which Google queries surface them on Search.
Read Google's help pages before assuming the three surfaces report alike. Discover carries no queries, so the query dimension is a Search feature.
Google also notes that the "Discover and Google News reports only appear if your content receives traffic from those surfaces".
It is the measurement half of a two-year arc. Public professional content became Google-indexable by default in July 2025.
It entered the Discover feed that September. Now it gets its own reporting surface.
For anyone doing Instagram SEO, this is a first. No first-party data tied posts to Google queries before.
Correction, 15th Aug 2026. This entry originally said an account can see "which Google queries surface its posts across Search, Discover and News".
Google's help page scopes the query dimension to Search. Discover and Google News carry no queries.
Their reports appear only where content receives traffic from those surfaces. The entry now separates the two.
The sources cited trade coverage only; Google's own posts and help page have been added.
