See Search Volume on eBay

Does any tool really have eBay search volume?

Here is something most keyword tools will not admit: no tool has genuine eBay search-volume data, including this one. eBay has never released its search counts to anyone.

So when a tool shows you an "eBay search volume", that number is not coming from eBay, it cannot be, because eBay does not share it. It is an estimate the tool has modelled and shown to you as if it were fact.

Keywords Everywhere does something more honest. Rather than dress up a guess as eBay data, it shows you the Google search volume for each term right under the eBay search bar, and tells you exactly what it is: Google's number, from Google Keyword Planner, not eBay's.

Amazon, YouTube, eBay and Etsy all keep their search counts private, so no tool can show their true numbers. We would rather give you a published Google figure, clearly labelled, than a number disguised as eBay's own.

So why is a Google number worth having on eBay? Because a consistent figure for every keyword lets you compare demand between keywords: a term searched 40,000 times a month clearly has more pull than one searched 300 times, and that gap is a useful guide whether people are searching on Google or shopping on eBay.

You do not have to install anything to try this. Our free eBay Keyword Tool pulls eBay's autocomplete suggestions for any seed keyword and shows the Google search volume for each, right in your browser.

Here is what changes once the extension is installed.

What eBay shows vs what Keywords Everywhere adds

On eBay by itself With Keywords Everywhere you also see
A list of listings ranked by Best Match, with no demand numbers attached. The Google search volume, CPC and competition for that exact term.
An autosuggest dropdown of popular completions, with nothing to separate the big terms from the small ones. The Google volume beside each suggestion, so high-demand keywords stand out as you type.
No keyword discovery, you have to brainstorm seed terms yourself. Hundreds of long-tail keywords from the Find eBay Keywords tool, ranked by Google volume.

Questions you may have

Does eBay show keyword search volume?
No. eBay shows you a list of listings and an autosuggest dropdown, but it never tells you how many people search for a term. There is no search volume, CPC or competition data anywhere in the eBay interface. Keywords Everywhere adds the Google search volume for each term right under the eBay search bar, so you have a concrete number to compare keywords with instead of guessing.
Where does the eBay search volume data come from?
The numbers come from Google Keyword Planner, the same data Google gives its advertisers, so they are Google's search volumes, not eBay's. eBay never releases its own search counts (nor do Amazon, YouTube or Etsy), so no tool can show you eBay's true volume. We show the Google figure because a consistent number for every keyword lets you compare demand between keywords, which is far more useful than no data at all.
What are the most searched keywords on eBay?
eBay does not publish a list of its most searched keywords, so any tool claiming to show eBay's exact top searches is estimating. The closest honest answer is the Find eBay Keywords tool: it pulls hundreds of real suggestions from eBay's own autosuggest for your seed term, then sorts them by Google Keyword Planner search volume so the high-demand terms rise to the top. That shows you what people actually type, ranked by a consistent measure of demand.
How do I find keywords for an eBay listing?
Start with a seed term that describes your item and run it through the Find eBay Keywords tool. It returns hundreds of long-tail variations from eBay's autosuggest, sorted by Google search volume. Put the highest-demand, most relevant terms in your listing title and item specifics, and keep the longer, more specific ones for the description. Searching on eBay with the extension on also shows the volume beside each autosuggest suggestion as you type.
Is the eBay keyword tool free?
The Keywords Everywhere extension is free to install. The search volume, CPC and competition numbers are a paid feature: you buy credits, and one credit returns the data for one keyword. Credits start at a low annual price and there are no monthly plans. You can also check the monthly volume for a small batch of keywords for free with our Search Volume Checker tool.
Does Keywords Everywhere work on Yahoo search?
Yes. Keywords Everywhere works on Yahoo search as well as Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo, and it shows the same Google Keyword Planner search volume, CPC and competition on each of them. Yahoo does not publish its own keyword search counts, so the Google figure is the consistent benchmark you see there, the same number you would get for that keyword on any other site.
