Google has said core updates happen "several times a year". For core updates, Google says "we give notice when they happen".
Smaller changes ship without notice. Google does not confirm them, so this page does not list them.

Check the date against the table first. A drop outside a rollout window has another cause.
Compare the day your traffic changed with the table above. If it falls inside a rollout window, the update is a plausible cause.
If it does not, look elsewhere first. Tracking changes, seasonality, a competitor's new page and technical faults all move rankings without any update.
