See Search Volume & Trends on Bing

What search volume does Keywords Everywhere show on Bing?

The volume you see on Bing is the Google search volume, genuine Google Keyword Planner data, the same numbers Google gives its advertisers.

Why a Google number on a Bing search? Google is by far the largest search engine, so its volume is the most complete and consistent benchmark there is.

Using one source also lets you compare a keyword's demand the same way everywhere, on Bing, on Google, and on every other site Keywords Everywhere supports.

So it is Google's number, openly labelled, not Bing's own. If you specifically need Microsoft's Bing figures, those live in Microsoft Advertising's Keyword Planner. Keywords Everywhere gives you the Google benchmark instead, with no ad account needed.

Prefer not to install the extension? Our free Bing Keyword Tool pulls Bing's autocomplete suggestions for any seed keyword and shows the Google search volume for each, right in your browser.

Questions you may have

What search volume does Keywords Everywhere show on Bing?
It shows the Google search volume, genuine Google Keyword Planner data, for every Bing search, along with the CPC, competition and 12-month trend. Google is the largest search engine, so its volume is the most complete and consistent benchmark, and using one source lets you compare a keyword the same way on Bing, Google and everywhere else the extension works.
Is this Bing's own search volume?
No, and we are upfront about that. The number is Google's, shown on Bing as a consistent benchmark, not Bing's own count. If you specifically need Microsoft's Bing figures, those come from Microsoft Advertising's Keyword Planner. Keywords Everywhere gives you the Google volume instead, with no ad account required.
Does Bing have its own keyword planner?
Yes. Microsoft Advertising, formerly Bing Ads, includes a Keyword Planner that reports search volume for the Microsoft network, and it is free once you have an advertising account. Keywords Everywhere takes a different approach: it overlays the Google search volume and a set of keyword widgets directly on the Bing results page, so you can do keyword research on Bing without an ads account.
Can I see keyword trends on Bing?
Yes. For every Bing search the extension adds a trend chart going back to 2004 and a Trending Keywords widget, both drawn from Google Trends. The trending widget has a "Trending %" column showing how much each keyword has moved over the last 30 days, so you can spot what is rising.
Can I find long-tail Bing keywords?
Yes. The Long-Tail widget and the Keyword Finder both use Bing's own autocomplete to pull thousands of long-tail keyword ideas for your query, and you also get a Related Keywords widget. Each keyword can show its Google search volume, so you know which long-tail terms are worth targeting.
Can Keywords Everywhere track my Bing keyword rankings?
No. Keywords Everywhere is a keyword research and metrics tool, not a rank tracker, so it does not monitor your position for a keyword over time on Bing. What it does add to Bing is the search volume, trends, related and long-tail keywords, and the estimated traffic and top keywords for any URL on the results page.
