How it works

Everything you type renders instantly into the invoice on the right: parties, line items with computed amounts, discount, tax (applied after the discount), and the total. Print / Save as PDF opens your browser's print dialog with a print layout that contains only the invoice, so "Save as PDF" produces a clean, watermark-free document.

Everything stays in your browser. The form (including your logo) is remembered locally so you can reuse it for the next invoice, just bump the invoice number. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no signup.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create an invoice with this generator?

Fill in your business details, your client's details, and the line items (description, quantity, rate). The invoice on the right builds live as you type, with subtotal, discount, tax, and total computed for you. When it looks right, click Print / Save as PDF.

How do I save the invoice as a PDF?

Click Print / Save as PDF and choose "Save as PDF" as the destination in your browser's print dialog; every modern browser has it built in. The printout contains only the invoice itself, no page chrome and no watermark.

Is this invoice generator really free?

Yes, free with no signup, no watermark, and no invoice limit. It runs entirely in your browser.

Is my invoice data stored anywhere?

Only in your own browser: the form (including your logo) is remembered locally so your invoice survives a reload, and nothing is ever uploaded to a server. Clearing your browser data or clicking Clear removes it.

How are discount and tax calculated?

The discount percentage comes off the subtotal first, and the tax percentage applies to the discounted amount, the usual convention. Both rows only appear on the invoice when they are non-zero. For multiple tax rates or jurisdiction-specific fields, add the detail in the notes section.

What should an invoice include?

Your business name and contact details, the client's, a unique invoice number, issue and due dates, line items with quantities and rates, the total, and payment terms (how and by when to pay, which goes in the notes). This generator covers all of these; local tax rules may require extras like a VAT/GST number, which fits in your address block or notes.

Can I add my logo?

Yes, upload any image up to about 300 KB and it appears at the top of the invoice. The logo stays in your browser like everything else.

Does it send invoices or take payments?

No, honestly. It produces the invoice document; you send the PDF yourself and collect payment however you prefer. If you charge by card, our Stripe and PayPal fee calculators show what the processors will take.
