UTM Builder

Add UTM tags to any link and copy a clean campaign tracking URL for your analytics.

Quick presets fill source & medium
utm_source · where the traffic comes from
utm_medium · the channel type
utm_campaign · the promotion
utm_term · paid keywords
utm_content · to tell versions apart
How it works

Enter the page you are linking to, then add your campaign tags. The builder appends them to the URL as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, and utm_content, URL-encoding each value and respecting any query string already on the URL. The link updates live, ready to copy.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, there is no signup, and your last entries are remembered locally.

Frequently asked questions

What is a UTM parameter?

UTM parameters are tags you add to a link so analytics tools can attribute the visit to a specific source, medium, and campaign. They are the standard way to track where your traffic and conversions come from.

What do the five UTM fields mean?

utm_source is where the traffic comes from (e.g. google, newsletter). utm_medium is the channel type (e.g. cpc, email, social). utm_campaign names the promotion (e.g. spring_sale). utm_term is for paid keywords, and utm_content distinguishes versions of an ad or link (handy for A/B tests).

Which fields are required?

Source, medium, and campaign are the three most analytics tools expect; term and content are optional. This builder lets you fill any combination and only appends the fields you complete.

Can I fill in common sources automatically?

Yes. Click a Quick preset at the top, for example Google Ads, YouTube Ads, Facebook Ads, or Newsletter, and the builder fills in the matching utm_source and utm_medium using common conventions (such as google / cpc or newsletter / email). You then add your URL and campaign name, and you can edit any value afterwards.

Should I use lowercase and avoid spaces?

Yes. Analytics tools treat Email and email as different values, which splits your reports. Keep tags lowercase and consistent, and use underscores or hyphens instead of spaces. The builder URL-encodes anything you enter so the link always works.

Does this builder send my URLs anywhere?

No. The link is assembled entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded. Your last entries are stored locally so the form is ready next time.

Is the UTM builder free?

Yes, free with no signup and no limits.
