Enter the original price and the percentage off to instantly see the final price and how much you save.
How it works
Enter the original price and the discount percentage. The calculator multiplies the price by the discount to find your savings, then subtracts that from the price for the final amount. It updates live as you type, and you can switch the currency symbol.
Formula: Savings = Price x (Discount / 100); Final price = Price - Savings.
Advanced options add a stacked second discount, sales tax or VAT, and a quantity, so you also get the price including tax and the total for several items.
Everything runs in your browser. Your numbers are never sent to a server, and there is no signup or limit. Your last entries are remembered locally so the calculator is ready next time.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a discount?
Multiply the original price by the discount percentage, then divide by 100 to get the savings. Subtract that from the original price for the sale price. For example, 25% off $80 is $20 saved, so the final price is $60.
How do I work out the percentage off between two prices?
Subtract the sale price from the original price, divide by the original price, and multiply by 100. For example, going from $80 to $60 is ($80 - $60) / $80 x 100 = 25% off.
Does it handle any currency?
Yes. The math is the same for every currency, and you can switch the displayed symbol (USD, EUR, GBP, INR, JPY, AUD, CAD) with the currency selector. Your choice is remembered on your device.
Can I stack two discounts?
Stacked discounts apply one after the other, not added together. A 20% then 10% off is not 30% off: it is 0.8 x 0.9 = 0.72, so 28% off in total. Turn on Advanced options and use the stacked second discount field to apply both at once.
Is this discount calculator free?
Yes, completely free with no signup. It runs entirely in your browser, so your numbers are never sent anywhere.
