How it works
The page reads YouTube's official most-popular chart through the Data API. It is the same ranking behind the app's Trending tab. For the country and category you pick, it lists the top 50 with rank, thumbnail, channel, views, length, and age. Charts are cached for an hour per country and category, which matches how fast the chart itself moves.
Two limits to know about, because other tools blur them. Not every country and category pair has an official chart, and the page says so when YouTube has none. And trending search terms do not exist as public data anywhere. So this page shows trending videos and links each one's tags instead, which is the part you can research.
Per row: the video on YouTube, its tags, and its full record. The chart is a format radar. The YouTube Keyword Tool is where topic demand gets measured.
What the columns mean
- Rank
- Position in YouTube's most-popular chart for the chosen country and category.
- Views
- The video's total views as YouTube publishes them. The chart itself weighs velocity, not raw totals.
- Length / Age
- Duration and how long the video has been up.
- Tags / Data links
- One-click research on any charting video.
Frequently asked questions
What is trending on YouTube right now?
Exactly what this page shows: YouTube's own most-popular chart, the same ranking behind the app's Trending tab. You get the top 50 for the country and category you pick, with views, length, and age per video. It refreshes hourly here, which is about as fast as the chart itself moves.
How does YouTube decide what trends?
YouTube says the chart weighs four things. View velocity, meaning views relative to how long the video has been up. Where the views come from. The video's age. And how the video performs against the channel's history. It does not rank by raw view count alone, and it applies some editorial safety filtering. That is why a two-day-old video can rank above one with triple the views.
Why is trending different in each country?
Charts are per country by design. Music dominates some markets and news others. A video trending in India is usually invisible in the US chart. The country selector switches between YouTube's official per-country charts, which helps creators who target audiences abroad.
Can I see trending searches or keywords?
No tool can. YouTube publishes trending videos, not search terms, and no official source lists "top YouTube searches". What you can do here is go one click deeper. Open a trending video's tags with the Tag Extractor to see the phrases its creator targeted. Then check phrase demand with the YouTube Keyword Tool.
Why does a category show nothing for some countries?
Not every country and category pair has an official chart. Smaller markets often chart only overall plus Music and Gaming. The page says so when YouTube has no chart for the pair. Switch to All categories for the full chart.
How fresh is the list?
Results are cached for one hour per country and category, which matches how often YouTube's chart reshuffles in any real way. The chart YouTube serves is itself not live. It updates about every 15 minutes, so an hourly snapshot loses almost nothing.
How do creators use the trending chart?
As a format radar rather than a topic list. Look at which thumbnail styles, lengths, and hooks are winning this week in your category and market. Pair a trending video's tags and title patterns with your own niche keywords. Chasing the trending topic itself rarely works, because it is usually saturated by the time it charts.
Is this trending tool free?
Yes, free with no signup. Each country and category load draws one lookup from the shared daily allowance shown by the quota chip. Cached loads are common, since charts refresh hourly. The data comes from YouTube's official most-popular chart.
