How it works
The Pinterest Font Generator converts your text into more than 20 font styles using real Unicode characters, entirely in your browser. Each style is made of actual characters rather than a font file. So you can copy any version and paste it into Pinterest with nothing to install.
- Profile preview shows your profile name and About text in the chosen style, laid out like a Pinterest profile. A meter counts the styled name against Pinterest's 65-character limit, amber near it and red past it. A second count tracks the About text against its 500 characters.
- Style cards show your text in every style: bold, italic, bold italic, script (cursive), gothic (fraktur), double-struck, sans-serif, monospace, fullwidth, small caps, superscript, circled, squared, upside-down, strikethrough, and underline. Click a card or its Copy button to copy. Preview switches the profile preview to that style.
- Where it works: profile name, About text, board names and descriptions, pin titles and descriptions, and comments. Not the username, which accepts letters and numbers only.
- Nothing is uploaded. Your latest text and preview style are remembered only in your own browser.

What you will see
- Profile name
- The name shown under the avatar on a profile, up to 65 characters. Optional. The preview uses a placeholder when it is empty.
- About text, board name, or any text
- The text to style. Every style card and the profile preview update live as you type.
- Preview style
- The style applied to the name and About text in the profile preview. Pick it from the menu or press Preview on any card.
- Name meter
- The styled name's character count against Pinterest's 65-character limit. Amber from 55 characters, red once you are over.
- About count
- The styled text's count against the 500-character About limit. Roughly the first 160 characters show before "more".
- Copy styled name / text
- Copies the previewed name or text, already styled, ready to paste into Edit profile.
- Style cards
- One card per style showing your text in that style, with Copy and Preview buttons. Bold, Italic, Sans Bold, and Monospace are the most widely supported. The decorative styles may show boxes on older devices.

How does the Pinterest font generator work?
Type your profile name, About text, or a board name and every style updates at once. Each style is built from real Unicode characters rather than a font file. Where on Pinterest can I use these fonts?
In your profile name, your About text, board names, board descriptions, pin titles, pin descriptions, and comments. Anywhere Pinterest accepts free text. The one place they do not work is the username, the part of your profile URL, which accepts plain letters and numbers only.
Should I use a fancy font in pin titles and descriptions?
Better not. Pinterest is a search engine, and search matches plain words. A styled "𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬" is not the same text as "small kitchen ideas", so a styled title may never be found. Keep titles, descriptions, board names, and your searchable keywords in plain text. Use the styles as short accents in your profile name and About text. Why will Pinterest not accept a fancy font in my username?
Pinterest usernames are limited to letters and numbers, 3 to 30 characters, with no symbols, spaces, periods, or underscores. A styled username is rejected when you save. Put the style in your profile name instead. It allows up to 65 characters including spaces and sits above the About text on your profile. Do fancy fonts count against the character limits?
Yes. Each styled letter is one character, the same as a plain letter, so a 40-character name stays 40 characters in Bold or Script. Two styles are the exception. Strikethrough and Underline add an invisible combining mark after every letter, so they count roughly double. The meter under the preview counts the styled version, which is what Pinterest counts.
Why do some letters show as boxes or question marks?
The device you pasted on has no glyph for that Unicode character in its font. The text is still correct. It just cannot be drawn there. Bold, Italic, Sans Bold, and Monospace have the widest support across phones. The decorative styles, such as Fraktur, Double-struck, Squared, and Circled, are the most likely to show boxes on older devices.
Which fonts look best on a pin image?
That is a different question from this tool. The text inside a pin image is part of the picture, made in a design app, not Unicode. Pins read best with one bold, clean sans-serif for the headline, such as Montserrat, Poppins, Raleway, Lato, or Bebas Neue, and a plain serif or handwriting face for a short accent line. Size the headline so it is readable at the feed's thumbnail size, around 60 px or more on a 1000 x 1500 pin. Keep to two fonts per pin and high contrast against the photo.

It is free, with no signup, no login, and nothing connecting to your Pinterest account. Everything runs in your browser, so your text is never uploaded. Your latest text and preview style are remembered only in your own browser so they survive a reload.
