Keyword Volume Checker

Compare a single keyword's monthly volume, CPC, and trend side by side across multiple countries.

Up to 3 countries per check. Upgrade for up to 8 countries per check.
How it works

The Keyword Volume Checker takes one keyword and returns its monthly search volume, CPC, advertiser competition, and 12-month trend for each of the countries you select. The output is a side-by-side comparison of a single keyword across markets, with an overlay chart that lets you see at a glance which countries have the most demand for the same query.

Sync only. Each submission fans out one upstream call per selected country in parallel and returns in a couple of seconds. There is no bulk mode by design: the table's axis IS already the country dimension, so a 2-D matrix of keywords-by-countries would dilute every per-country signal.

Unified currency. Every per-country CPC value is converted to one currency (USD by default; switch with the dropdown) before display, so the column is directly comparable across rows. The currency you pick is sent to every per-country call.

Plan caps. Your current plan allows up to 3 countries per check. Platinum unlocks the full 8. The country list itself is fixed (Global plus 7 named markets, the full set our upstream supports), so Gold and Platinum both deliver the same maximum coverage.

Country-units quota. Free-tier daily quota counts country-units, not submissions. A 3-country check consumes 3 units against the daily budget; an 8-country check consumes 8. This keeps cost-vs-allocation aligned regardless of how thin or wide you fan out per check. Paid plans pay only their own account credits.

Known limitations.

  • Country list is fixed. We support what our upstream supports: Global plus 7 named markets (US, UK, CA, AU, IN, NZ, ZA). We can't add a country that the API doesn't cover.
  • Volume is modeled. No third-party tool has access to Google's internal search counts per market. Per-country volumes are statistical estimates.
  • Global isn't a country. Global is the worldwide sum across every market the upstream covers, so it will always look largest. The "hottest market" summary excludes Global from the country comparison for that reason.
What the columns mean
Country
The market for which the row's metrics were fetched. Each country row includes its flag, name, and country code. Click any country to deep-link this keyword into our SERP Checker for that country.
Search Volume
Average monthly searches for the keyword in that country. A modeled estimate. The strongest signal in the table for which market to prioritize. Use the overlay chart above the table for the same data plotted across all selected countries on one shared scale.
CPC
Cost per click in the currency you selected, converted from the country's native CPC. The column header shows the active currency code. High CPC across multiple countries signals a keyword with strong commercial intent universally; high in one country and low in others can signal locally-specific advertiser activity.
Competition
Google's 0-1 score for the keyword in that country's Google Ads marketplace. Higher means more advertisers bidding. Useful as a relative score across countries (commercial competition is more concentrated in some markets than others).
Trend (12 mo)
Per-country sparkline of monthly volume over the past 12 months. Click for a larger interactive chart with exact monthly values. Helps spot seasonality differences (gift keywords spike in November/December everywhere, swimsuit keywords peak at different months by hemisphere).
Overlay chart (above the table)
All selected countries plotted on one shared scale, color-coded with a clickable legend. Click any legend entry to dim/hide that line. This is the one-glance answer to "where is this keyword biggest" and "where is it growing."
Frequently asked questions

What does this Keyword Volume Checker do?

It takes one keyword and returns the monthly search volume, cost per click, advertiser competition, and 12-month trend for that keyword in each of the countries you select. The output is a side-by-side comparison of one keyword across markets, which is the opposite shape of a traditional bulk volume tool. Use it to decide which countries are worth targeting before you build out localized content.

How do I check keyword search volume?

Enter your keyword in the box, tick the countries you want to compare (or paste a deep-link URL with repeated ?country= params), pick a currency for the CPC column, and click Compare countries. We fan out one upstream call per selected country and return the per-market table plus an overlay chart showing how the keyword's monthly volume has trended across markets over the past year. Sync only; results arrive in a couple of seconds.

What is monthly search volume?

Monthly search volume is the average number of times per month a keyword is searched on Google, reported per country. It's a modeled statistical estimate from our Keywords Everywhere API, not an exact count from Google. Use it for comparison ("Country X has roughly 5x the demand of Country Y") rather than as an absolute number ("exactly 8,124 searches"). The same keyword almost always has different volume in different countries.

Why use a multi-country comparison instead of running a single-country check 8 times?

Two reasons. First, this tool fans out the per-country calls in parallel so 8 countries come back in roughly the same time as one. Second, the overlay chart and per-country sparklines line up on the same scale, so you can see at a glance which market is biggest, which is growing fastest, and which has the highest CPC. Doing the same comparison by hand across 8 separate tabs loses that side-by-side view.

Why is the CPC shown in one currency for every country?

Cross-market CPC tables are only useful when the values are directly comparable. If we showed USD for the US, GBP for the UK, INR for India, and so on, you'd have to mentally convert before you could answer "which country has the highest CPC?". So we send the same currency code (USD by default; switch it with the dropdown) for every country call. The upstream API converts each country's native CPC to your chosen currency, and the column header dynamically shows the active code.

How many countries can I compare in one check?

Your current plan allows up to 3 countries per check. Platinum is the maximum at 8. The list of supported countries is fixed by what our Keywords Everywhere API supports (Global plus 7 named markets at the moment), so Gold and Platinum both unlock the full set. If you need a market we don't cover, that's an upstream limitation, not a plan limitation.

Why does Global show such a different number from the named countries?

Global isn't a single country, it's the worldwide sum of searches the upstream estimates across every market it covers. So Global volume will always be the largest by definition. When the overlay chart shows Global selected, we render it as a separate "worldwide searches per month" pill above the chart so it doesn't skew the "hottest market" comparison among real countries.

How is this different from the Search Volume Checker?

The Search Volume Checker handles many keywords in one country (paste a list, pick a country, see a flat table). This tool inverts the matrix: one keyword across many countries (type a keyword, tick countries, see a per-country table plus a comparison chart). Use SVC when you have a keyword list to qualify. Use KVC when you have a single keyword and need to know which market to target first.
