How it works
Related Keywords Finder lists the related searches Google shows for your seed keyword. These are the suggestions that appear at the bottom of a Google results page, taken from the Keywords Everywhere database. Each one then gets its search volume, cost per click, competition score and 12-month trend.
One lookup per seed. Enter one seed keyword, or switch to Bulk and enter up to 5. Each seed takes a few seconds. The results from every seed land in one table, and repeated keywords are listed once.
Country. The related list is worldwide, so it can include searches from other markets. The Country dropdown sets where the volume and CPC are measured. Keywords with no searches in that country are hidden by default. Untick "Hide keywords with no search volume" above the table to see all of them.
Limits. On the Free plan each seed returns up to 100 keywords, and you get 250 keyword lookups per day, shared across all our keyword tools. Paid Keywords Everywhere plans return up to 2,000 keywords per seed and use their own credits instead.
Known limitations.
- Coverage. Not every keyword has related searches on record. A very new or very rare term can return a short list, or none.
- Averaged over 12 months. Volume is Google's average monthly searches across the trailing year, so a seasonal peak is smoothed out. Check the trend chart for the shape behind the average.
- Long-tail rounding. Google rounds low-volume terms into coarse buckets, so treat very low volumes as near zero.
What the columns mean
- Keyword
- A related search for your seed keyword. Click the link icon to open it in the SERP Checker, People Also Search For, or Keyword Finder. Signed-in visitors with credits see a star in front of each keyword. Click it to save the keyword to your Keywords Everywhere favorites.
- Volume
- Google's average monthly searches over the past 12 months in the country you picked, from Google Keyword Planner via the Keywords Everywhere API. A keyword with no searches in that country is hidden by default. Untick "Hide keywords with no search volume" above the table to see every keyword.
- CPC
- The average cost per click advertisers pay in Google Ads. A high CPC usually signals buying intent. An empty CPC means no one is advertising on that keyword.
- Competition
- Google Ads' competition score: Low, Medium or High, based on how many advertisers bid on the keyword. It is not the same as organic ranking difficulty.
- Trend %
- Last month's search volume compared with the average of the 11 months before it. A positive number means the keyword is rising.
- 12-month trend
- A small chart of monthly search volume over the past year. A flat or rising line confirms steady demand. Hover over any point for that month's value.
Frequently asked questions
What are related keywords?
Related keywords are the searches Google connects to the one you typed. Google shows them at the bottom of a results page as related searches. They tell you how people rephrase a topic, which brands and modifiers they add, and which neighboring topics they move to next.
Where do these related keywords come from?
From the Keywords Everywhere database of the related searches Google shows on its results pages. The search volume, CPC, competition and trend on each row come from Google Keyword Planner via the Keywords Everywhere API.
How is this different from People Also Search For?
Related searches sit at the bottom of a results page and stay close to the wording of your seed. People Also Search For keywords appear when a searcher clicks a result and comes back, so they show what people try next and often wander further from the seed. Run both for a full picture: People Also Search For.
How is this different from an autocomplete keyword tool?
Autocomplete tools such as our Keyword Finder return phrases that start with or contain your seed, because that is how autocomplete works. Related searches are not tied to the seed's wording, so they surface synonyms, brands and adjacent topics that autocomplete never shows.
Why are some keywords hidden?
The related list is worldwide, so some of its keywords have no searches in the country you picked. Those are hidden by default, and the note next to the checkbox shows how many. Untick "Hide keywords with no search volume" to see every keyword, or switch the country to Global.
How many keywords do I get, and what does it cost?
On the Free plan each seed returns up to 100 keywords, and you get 250 keyword lookups per day, shared across all our keyword tools. Paid Keywords Everywhere plans return up to 2,000 keywords per seed and use their own credits instead.
How accurate are the search volumes?
Volume comes from Google's Keyword Planner via the Keywords Everywhere API, the same source most professional SEO tools use. Numbers are Google's average monthly searches over the trailing 12 months. Two things follow from that: a seasonal peak is smoothed into the yearly average, and Google rounds low-volume long-tail terms into coarse buckets.
