How it works
Enter a username or paste a profile, store, or search URL, pick the eBay site, and the tool asks eBay's official Browse API for that seller's active listings (up to 200, the API's page limit) and summarises them: the total live count eBay reports, the asking-price range and median, the categories, the new-versus-used and Buy-It-Now-versus-auction splits, the seller's feedback score and positive percentage as shown on their listings, how many listings carry the Top Rated Plus badge, and a sample of listings with links.
Results are cached for a day and every lookup gets a shareable link. The application uses its own eBay developer keyset; nothing connects to your eBay account, no one is signed in, and nothing is scraped from eBay's pages. Sold history is not available through the public API.
What the numbers mean
- Active listings
- The number of live listings eBay reports for the seller on that site; the summary samples up to 200 of them.
- Price range and median
- The lowest, median, and highest asking price among the sampled listings, in the site's currency; shipping is separate.
- Feedback
- The seller's feedback score and positive-feedback percentage as eBay shows them on listings.
- Top Rated
- How many sampled listings carry the Top Rated Plus buying experience badge.
- Categories, conditions, buying options
- Counts of the sampled listings by leaf category, by condition (new, used, refurbished ...), and by format (Buy It Now, auction, best offer).
Frequently asked questions
What does the eBay Seller Lookup show?
A seller's active listings, summarised: how many are live on that eBay site, the lowest, median, and highest asking price, the categories they list in, the split between new and used and between Buy It Now and auction, the seller's feedback score and positive-feedback percentage, how many listings carry the Top Rated badge, and a sample of up to 40 listings with links. Everything comes from eBay's official Browse API, the same data the site shows to shoppers.
Can I see what a seller has sold, or their sales history?
No. eBay's public API returns active listings only; sold and completed listings sit behind a separate API that eBay no longer opens to new developers. For sold history, use eBay's own search with the "Sold items" filter, or Terapeak inside Seller Hub. This tool describes what a seller is offering right now.
Where do I find a seller's username?
On any listing, under "Seller information", or in the profile URL (ebay.com/usr/username). Paste the username, the profile URL, a store URL (ebay.com/str/storename), or a search URL with the seller filter, and the lookup reads the username from it.
Why does the listing count differ from the seller's page?
The count is for the eBay site you picked; a seller who lists on ebay.com and ebay.co.uk has two counts. Listings in categories eBay excludes from search, and listings that ended a minute ago, are not included. Results are cached for a day, so a seller who just listed a batch shows the earlier count until the cache refreshes.
Is the feedback score exact?
It is the score eBay publishes on the seller's listings at lookup time: the feedback count and the positive percentage over the last 12 months. A new seller with no feedback shows none.
Which eBay sites are supported?
Eight: the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Australia, France, Italy, and Spain. Prices are shown in each site's currency.
Can I export the listings?
Yes. Export CSV downloads the sampled listings (item number, title, price, shipping, condition, buying options, category, seller location, URL), and every lookup gets a shareable link that re-opens the same result for seven days without spending another lookup.
Is the eBay seller lookup free?
Yes, free with no signup. Lookups draw from a shared daily allowance of eBay lookups shown by the quota chip, because eBay caps how many calls our application may make per day; signing in on a paid Keywords Everywhere plan raises the daily cap. Every plan has a cap, higher tiers simply get a higher one.
