Content Idea Generator

Generate 12 content ideas across the marketing funnel, formatted for blog, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other channels.

Distribution platforms (pick at least one; we format each idea for one of these)
Tone (pick one)

Each platform you pick gives you 4 ideas, one for each funnel stage (Awareness / Consideration / Decision / Retention). 1 platform = 4 ideas, 2 = 8, 8 = 32. Each idea is format-ready for its platform, with real monthly search volume from Keywords Everywhere. Regenerate any card to re-roll just that one.

How it works

The Content Idea Generator produces ideas in a matrix distribution across two dimensions: the platforms you pick (Blog, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, Newsletter, Pinterest) and the 4-stage marketing funnel (Awareness, Consideration, Decision, Retention). For every (platform, stage) cell you get exactly one idea. The result is a balanced content plan rather than a flat list of 8 random ideas, none of which cover the bottom of the funnel.

Platform-aware output. Each idea carries a platform_content object with format-tailored primary output (blog title vs. YouTube title vs. LinkedIn hook vs. tweet) plus platform-specific extras (blog outline bullets, YouTube thumbnail text, Instagram hashtag suggestions). The same underlying idea is presented natively for each platform without paying 8x the AI token cost.

Two input modes:

  • Topic. A seed keyword or short topic. The model generates the matrix from scratch.
  • URL. A page URL the ideas should EXTEND or FILL GAPS in. We proxy-fetch the page, parse the body, and instruct the model to propose ideas that extend the existing coverage. Word cap per plan (Free 2,000 / Bronze 4,000 / Silver 6,000 / Gold 8,000 / Platinum 12,000).

Real Keywords Everywhere data on every idea. After the model returns, the tool deduplicates target keywords and runs one batched KE lookup; volume, CPC, competition, and 12-month trend get attached to every idea card. The volume-tier pill (High / Medium / Low / No data) shows at a glance which ideas target real demand.

Three sort lenses on the results: Funnel (default; groups ideas by funnel stage with tinted section headers), Volume desc (biggest opportunities first), Easiest (lowest competition first).

Honest framing. The funnel-stage labels are the AI's call on each idea's intent (educational vs. comparison-helping vs. decision-helping vs. retention). Search volume reflects historical Google search activity, not future traffic. Use the signals as a starting point for your content calendar, alongside your sense of what your audience actually needs.

Plan caps. Each call consumes a portion of your shared daily AI token budget. Per-card Regenerate consumes from the same bucket. Daily budget shared across every AI tool on this site (Free 50/day; Bronze 100; Silver 200; Gold 400; Platinum 1,000).

What you will see
Mode toggle (Topic / URL)
Switches between generating from a seed and extending an existing page.
Distribution platforms picker
Multi-pick checkboxes for the platforms you publish on. Pick at least one. The number of ideas you get back equals platforms × 4 funnel stages.
Country
Drives the search-volume data attached to each idea. Global is an aggregate; pick a specific country for that market's data.
Focus keyword
Optional. Anchors all ideas around the target phrase. The live preview shows volume / CPC / competition for the focus keyword itself.
Idea card
Each card carries: a funnel-stage label (Awareness / Consideration / Decision / Retention), a platform label (which platform format the idea is tailored for), the primary platform_content output (blog title / video title / hook / tweet / etc.), the extras (outline bullets / hashtags / etc.), KE-enriched volume / CPC / competition / trend, Copy and Regenerate buttons.
Sort buttons (Funnel / Volume / Easiest)
Re-sorts the stack in place. Funnel (default) groups by stage with tinted section subheaders. Volume desc surfaces high-demand opportunities. Easiest sorts by competition asc.

Frequently asked questions

How do I generate content ideas with this tool?

Pick a mode (Topic or URL), enter your topic / niche / seed keyword, optionally pick an audience and country, optionally add a focus keyword, check at least one distribution platform (Blog, YouTube, LinkedIn, X / Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Newsletter, or Pinterest), pick a tone, and click Generate ideas. You get exactly 4 ideas per selected platform, one for each funnel stage (Awareness, Consideration, Decision, Retention). 1 platform = 4 ideas, 2 platforms = 8 ideas, 8 platforms = 32. Each idea is format-tailored for its platform AND enriched with real Keywords Everywhere search volume.

How does the funnel-stage matrix work?

For every (platform, funnel-stage) cell in the matrix the AI produces exactly one idea. If you pick LinkedIn and YouTube and the standard 4 funnel stages (Awareness, Consideration, Decision, Retention), you get 8 ideas: a LinkedIn Awareness idea, a LinkedIn Consideration idea, a LinkedIn Decision idea, a LinkedIn Retention idea, plus the equivalent 4 for YouTube. The matrix coverage guarantees you can't have, say, 4 Awareness ideas across both platforms while Retention is empty, which is exactly the failure mode of brainstorming without a framework.

What is the 5-5-5 rule for social media?

A common content-mix heuristic: 5 posts about your own product/service/content, 5 posts curating other people's relevant content, 5 posts engaging directly with your community (replies, conversations, questions). This tool helps with the first 5 (own-content ideas, format-tailored for each platform). The other 10 are still on you, and the framework only works if all three categories show up. For platforms like TikTok and Instagram where the algorithm rewards engagement over reach, the engagement / curation buckets are arguably more important than the own-content one.

What is the 70/20/10 rule in content?

A budget-allocation heuristic for content marketing: 70% of effort on proven formats and topics, 20% on new variations of what's working, 10% on experimental bets that may not pay off. For ideation specifically: the AI tends to propose ideas that fit the 70 and 20 buckets (well-established patterns the model has learned from the training data). For the experimental 10% you usually need a human, the AI doesn't know what hasn't been tried in your specific niche. Use this tool for the 70/20 and budget separate ideation time for the 10.

What is the 3-3-3 rule in marketing?

A simple content-frequency heuristic for new brands: publish 3 times a week for 3 months on 3 platforms before judging whether the strategy is working. Less than 3 months of consistent output isn't enough data to draw conclusions. This tool can supply ideation for the 3-platform side: pick exactly 3 platforms in the picker, run a submission, get 12 ideas (3 platforms × 4 funnel stages), and you have roughly two weeks of content planned in one click.

What are some good content ideas for a blog?

The ones that target real audience demand and fit your specific authority. For demand, generate ideas here, sort by Volume to see the biggest opportunities, and filter mentally for ones you can write authoritatively. For format: How-to and Listicle for evergreen traffic, Comparison for affiliate revenue, Case Study and Tutorial for B2B authority. Pick Blog as your platform in the form, and the ideas you get back come format-tailored to long-form structure (typically 1,500-3,000 word territory) rather than short-form social posts.

How does the tool format ideas per platform?

Each idea carries a platform_content object with a primary field (the main format-appropriate output for that platform: blog title for Blog, video title for YouTube, hook for LinkedIn, tweet for X) and an extras array (platform-specific addenda: blog outline bullets, YouTube thumbnail text, Instagram hashtags). The same underlying idea is presented natively for each platform, without 8x'ing the AI token cost.

How many ideas can I generate per day?

The platforms × 4 matrix scales with how many platforms you pick; 1 platform = 4 ideas; 8 = 32. Each call consumes a portion of your shared daily AI token budget. The budget is shared across every AI tool on this site: Free 50/day; Bronze 100; Silver 200; Gold 400; Platinum 1,000. Each per-card Regenerate consumes from the same bucket. Realistically you can run several submissions per day on the Free plan before hitting the cap.
