How it works
The App Name Generator takes your keyword or idea and uses a large language model to brainstorm a batch of app names in seconds. Pick a style to steer the vibe, or leave it on Any for a varied mix. Each idea comes with a short note on why it works. Not feeling it? Hit Generate more for a fresh batch.
Honest framing. These are creative starting points, not a guarantee. Before you commit to a name, check that it is not already trademarked or in heavy use, and (for a website) that the matching domain and social handles are free.
Check the .com in your browser. Hit Check .com and the tool looks up each idea against the live domain registry, from your own browser, and flags which .com addresses look unregistered. A green Available means no registration exists right now; it is not a guarantee (premium or reserved names can still cost more or be unbuyable), so always confirm at a registrar before you buy.
Free, no signup. Each generation draws a small amount from your shared daily AI allowance, shown by the quota chip. Paid plans get a larger daily allowance for heavier brainstorming sessions.

Frequently asked questions
How do I name an app?
Describe what it does ("splits bills with friends", "tracks daily habits with streaks"), pick a style, and generate. App names live in tiny spaces, a home-screen label truncates around 11 characters, so short, distinctive, and easy to spell wins.
What makes an app name work in the stores?
Distinctive enough to rank for its own name the day someone hears about it, pronounceable in a podcast ad, and not a generic dictionary word buried under a thousand results. Store keyword discovery comes from the subtitle and listing, so the NAME can stay brandable.
Are blends and made-up words a good idea?
Often yes: blends ("Snapkeep") and clipped words ("Habitly") are ownable, domain-friendly, and memorable, as long as they stay pronounceable, which the generator is instructed to respect. Test by saying the name aloud to someone and asking them to spell it.
Do you check App Store or Google Play availability?
No, the stores have no public name-availability API, so search each store by hand before committing. We do check .com availability per idea, since the matching website usually matters as much.
Should the app name say what the app does?
A hint helps early-stage apps ("Split", "Streaks" set expectations instantly); pure brandables need marketing muscle. The Descriptive-leaning ideas appear under the Friendly and Minimal styles; Techy and Premium lean brandable.
Is it free, and is my input stored?
Free with no signup; each batch draws from a shared daily AI allowance (see the quota chip). Searches are kept briefly for reload/share links and expire after 30 days.
