Resize product images to the exact Amazon sizes, 2000 x 2000 main and gallery images, the 1,000-pixel zoom minimum, A+ content and brand store sizes, and check the main image for the pure white background and the 85% frame fill Amazon requires, right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Main image check (first file)
Measured in your browser on the resized file; the thresholds are Amazon's published main-image rules. Amazon reviews images with its own systems, so treat this as a pre-flight, not an approval.
Amazon image sizes (2026)
| Use | Size (px) | Aspect ratio | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main product image | 2000 x 2000 | 1:1 | Amazon wants the longest side at 1,000 px or more for zoom and recommends 2,000 px or more; a square fills the image slot. Pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), the product filling 85% of the frame, no text or logos. The check below tests both. |
| Main product image (1600) | 1600 x 1600 | 1:1 | A lighter main image that still zooms; same rules as above. |
| Gallery image (lifestyle, infographic) | 2000 x 2000 | 1:1 | Images 2 to 7. Backgrounds, text, and graphics are allowed here, not on the main image. |
| Product image (minimum for zoom) | 1000 x 1000 | 1:1 | The 1,000 px floor; below it the listing loses zoom. Use only for small source files. |
| A+ standard image header | 970 x 600 | 97:60 | The image in the A+ standard image and text module; other A+ modules take 300 x 300, 220 x 220, and 970 x 300. |
| A+ full-width banner | 970 x 300 | 97:30 | The image header module and comparison banner in A+ content. |
| A+ company logo | 600 x 180 | 10:3 | The logo module at the top of A+ content. |
| Brand Store hero image | 3000 x 600 | 5:1 | The full-width hero at the top of a Brand Store page; phones show a centre crop, keep the message in the middle. |
| Brand Store logo | 400 x 400 | 1:1 | The square logo in the Brand Store header. |
| Brand Story background | 1464 x 625 | 2.34:1 | The background image of the Brand Story carousel above A+ content. |
Amazon accepts JPG, PNG, TIFF, and non-animated GIF product images up to 10 MB with the longest side between 1,000 and 10,000 px (2,000 px recommended); main images need a pure white background and an 85% frame fill. Sizes follow Amazon's product image requirements and the 2026 A+ / Brand Store spec guides; confirm in Seller Central before uploading, since Amazon revises them.
How it works
Pick the Amazon size you are making, drop in one or more images, and each is resized to that exact size in your browser. Crop to fill (the default) scales the image to cover the frame and trims the overflow, with a Crop focus menu to keep the top, bottom, left, or right; Fit with padding keeps the whole image and fills the rest with a colour or transparency; Stretch forces the size. The main image check under the results reads the first resized file back and measures the white edges and the product fill against Amazon's main-image rules.
Output defaults to JPG at 90% quality, right for photos; choose PNG for logos and graphics with text so the edges stay crisp (and for transparent padding). Each result shows the original and new dimensions and file size, and downloads with the preset and size in the file name. A result is never larger than the original file.
Everything runs locally. Your images are never uploaded, there is no signup, and re-encoding strips EXIF metadata. Animated GIFs export as a single still frame. To shrink a finished file further without changing its size, run it through the Image Compressor.
What you will see
- Amazon size
- The preset that sets the exact output width and height; the table above lists what each one is for.
- Fit
- How an image whose shape differs from the preset is handled: crop to fill, fit with padding, or stretch.
- Crop focus
- Which part of the image survives a crop-to-fill: centre, top, bottom, left, or right.
- Padding colour
- The fill used around a padded image: white, black, a custom colour, or transparent for PNG and WebP.
- Output format and Quality
- JPG (photos), PNG (lossless, no quality slider; logos and text), WebP, or keep the original format. Quality applies to JPG and WebP.
- Result cards
- One per image with a preview, the before and after dimensions and file sizes, and a Download button; Download all saves them all.
Frequently asked questions
What size should Amazon product images be?
At least 1,000 pixels on the longest side (below that the listing loses zoom), and Amazon recommends 2,000 px or more; the longest side must not exceed 10,000 px, files stay under 10 MB, in JPG (preferred), PNG, TIFF, or GIF (no animation). The 2000 x 2000 presets make a square that fills the image slot and zooms cleanly.
What are the rules for the main image?
A pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), the product filling at least 85% of the frame, a photo of the actual product (no illustrations for most categories), no text, logos, watermarks, borders, props, or extra items, and the whole product in frame. The main image check under the results measures the white edges and the fill so you can fix a file before Seller Central rejects it or suppresses the listing.
How does the main image check work?
After the Main product image preset resizes your first file, the page reads the result back in your browser, samples the pixels along all four edges to see how many are pure white, and finds the smallest box around the non-white pixels to estimate how much of the frame the product fills. It reports both against Amazon's thresholds (white edges, 85% fill). It is a measurement of your file, not Amazon's decision; Amazon reviews images with its own systems.
How do I make the background pure white?
Amazon's white is RGB 255, 255, 255, not the off-white a camera captures. Shoot on a white sweep, then in an editor lift the background to pure white (levels or a background-removal tool) before resizing here. If the product is smaller than the frame, use Fit with padding with the white padding colour so the added area is exactly 255 white.
What are the A+ content and Brand Store image sizes?
The common A+ modules use 970 x 600 (standard image and text), 970 x 300 (image header, comparison banner), 300 x 300 and 220 x 220 (image and text tiles), and 600 x 180 (company logo). Brand Stores use a 3000 x 600 hero, a 400 x 400 logo, and 1464 x 625 for the Brand Story background. The presets cover the main ones; Seller Central shows the exact size when you open a module, and Amazon revises them.
What is the difference between crop to fill and fit with padding?
Crop to fill scales the image until it covers the whole target size and trims whatever overflows, so nothing is padded but the edges may be cut; use the Crop focus menu to keep the top, bottom, left, or right instead of the centre. Fit with padding scales the image to fit inside the frame and fills the rest with a colour (or transparency for PNG and WebP), so nothing is cut. For Amazon main images choose white padding.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. All resizing, cropping, and the main image check happen locally in your browser, so your images never leave your device. There is no signup and no watermark, and re-encoding strips EXIF metadata before you upload to Seller Central.
Can I resize a whole listing's images at once?
Yes. Drop in as many as you like and each is resized with the same preset and settings, with its own preview and download button, and Download all saves every result. Files are named with the preset and size, like bottle-main-2000x2000.jpg, and a result is never larger than the original file. The main image check reads the first file.
