Paste any playlist and get the number YouTube never shows: the total watch time, plus the time at up to 2x speed, a from-to range calculator, and the full per-video table.

How it works
The calculator reads the playlist through YouTube's official Data API: the playlist record first, then every listed entry, then each video's exact duration, views, and date. Durations are added up as exact seconds, not the rounded on-screen labels, so the total is precise to the second. Entries whose videos have gone private or been deleted are counted separately as unavailable, since YouTube no longer serves their length.
The stats row carries the totals: watch time, the 1.25x to 2x speed conversions, average video length, and the longest and shortest entries. The range selector recomputes everything for "videos N to M" without another lookup. The table beneath lists every video in playlist order with its stats. CSV, clipboard Copy (same columns), and Copy URLs (the plain link list) export what was loaded.
Free lookups process up to 200 videos per playlist, and higher plans up to 1,000. A larger playlist is timed from the start and labelled as capped. Results keep a shareable link for 7 days.
What the numbers mean
- Total duration
- The exact summed length of the watchable videos loaded.
- At 1.25x / 1.5x / 1.75x / 2x
- The total divided by each playback speed YouTube offers.
- Average / Longest / Shortest
- Summary stats over the loaded videos.
- Unavailable
- Playlist entries whose videos are private or deleted. They cannot be timed.
- Range
- From and to positions that recompute the totals for part of the playlist.
- Copy URLs
- The plain list of video links, one per line.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find the total length of a YouTube playlist?
Paste the playlist URL, any link with list= in the address, or the bare playlist id. The calculator adds up every listed video's exact duration into a total. It also shows the number of videos, the average length, and the longest and shortest entries. YouTube itself shows the count but never the total time, which is the whole reason this tool exists.
How long is the playlist at 1.5x or 2x speed?
The speed table divides the total by each playback rate: 1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x, and 2x, the speeds YouTube's player offers. A 10-hour course playlist is 6 hours 40 minutes at 1.5x. Students planning a study schedule are the classic users of this row.
Can I calculate part of a playlist?
Yes. The range selector takes "from video N to video M" and recomputes the totals for just that stretch, which matches how people watch long courses. The table highlights the selected range so you can check the endpoints.
Why does it show unavailable videos?
Playlists keep entries whose videos have since gone private or been deleted. Those cannot be timed, because YouTube no longer serves their data. The calculator counts them separately and adds up what is watchable. That is also why its video count can differ from the number on the playlist page.
How many videos can it process?
Up to 200 videos per playlist free, rising to 1,000 on higher plans. For a longer playlist the totals cover the processed stretch from the start, and the card says the playlist was larger. The range selector still works inside what was loaded.
Can I export the playlist?
Yes, in three ways. The CSV has position, title, channel, duration, views, and URL per video. The clipboard Copy has the same columns for spreadsheets. Copy URLs gives a plain list of the video links, the "playlist link extractor" job, for scripts or watch-later processing.
Does it work on private or mixed playlists?
Public and unlisted playlists work. Unlisted needs the link, which you have. Private playlists and YouTube Mixes, the auto-generated radio playlists with ids starting RD, are not served to tools. The calculator says so rather than timing a partial guess.
Is the playlist length calculator free?
Yes, free with no signup. Each playlist draws one lookup from the shared daily allowance shown by the quota chip, and results keep a shareable link for 7 days. The per-video stats come straight from YouTube's official data.
