How it works

An X bio has 160 characters to answer two questions a stranger asks in a second: what is this account, and why should I follow it. The generator writes ten answers in the style you pick: Professional (role and proof, no emoji), Creator (first person, personality), Founder (what you build and the traction), Witty (one good joke, still clear), Minimal (three or four words per line), or Keyword-led (the niche words first, for people who find accounts through search). Every bio carries one concrete proof point or hook and nothing invented: no follower counts, awards, or employers you did not give it.

Formulas that work on X, if you would rather write your own: Role + who you help + proof ("SEO for indie founders | 200+ sites audited | writing the playbook here"); What you post + how often ("Daily NBA stats and one hot take"); Identity + credibility + personality ("Ex-Google, now building Tiny Kitchen. Sourdough on weekends"); Claim + invitation ("I turn boring dashboards into stories. Ask me how"). Fragments separated by " | " read naturally on X and keep the count low. Put the link in the website field, not the bio, and the pinned post does the rest.

Generate more adds six fresh bios distinct from those shown. Each generation draws from a shared daily AI allowance (see the quota chip). Check the exact count with the Twitter Character Counter (X bio preset), style a word with the Twitter Font Generator, and pick the handle with the Twitter Username Generator.

Free, no signup. Each generation draws a small amount from your shared daily AI allowance, shown by the quota chip. Paid plans get a larger daily allowance for heavier sessions.

Frequently asked questions

How long can an X (Twitter) bio be?

160 characters, spaces, line breaks, and emoji included. Every bio here is checked against that limit before it is shown, and the live count on each card turns red if your edits push it over. The website, location, and birthday fields are separate and do not count.

What makes a good X bio?

It answers "what is this account" and "why follow it" in one glance, with one concrete detail that proves it: a number, a client, a result, a routine ("daily"), or a specific niche word. Vague bios ("thoughts are my own | coffee lover") tell a stranger nothing. Keep the link in the website field, use the pinned post for the long story, and read the bio once as a stranger would.

Should I use keywords in my X bio?

Yes, if people should find you through search: X search and Google both read the bio, so "SEO consultant" or "watercolour artist" written plainly beats a clever line nobody types. The Keyword-led style puts the niche words first; the other styles keep them but lead with personality or proof.

Are emoji and hashtags a good idea in a bio?

One emoji as a visual bullet is fine; a row of them costs characters and reads as noise. Hashtags in a bio are clickable and take people away to the tag search, so most accounts skip them; the Keyword-led style allows one for a community you belong to (#buildinpublic), the others use none.

Can I change my X bio and display name later?

Yes, at any time from Edit profile, with no limit on changes. The display name (up to 50 characters) is separate from the bio and from the @handle; many accounts put the role in the display name ("Maya | SEO for founders") and keep the bio for the proof and the invitation.

Does the generator make up credentials?

No. It is told never to invent follower counts, awards, employers, press, or results you did not give it, and to use only the details in your input. If you want a proof point, add it to the optional field and the bios will lead with it.

Is the Twitter bio generator free?

Yes, free with no signup, and nothing connects to your X account. Each generation draws from a shared daily AI allowance shown by the quota chip; signing in on a paid Keywords Everywhere plan raises it. Every plan has a cap, higher tiers get a higher one.
