ChatGPT Prompts for Instagram Captions and Carousels

An Instagram caption has a first line that shows before "more", a body, a call to action and the hashtags; a carousel has a cover slide that earns the swipe and one idea per slide. These prompts tell ChatGPT that structure so the output is ready to post rather than ready to edit.

Generate Instagram Caption writes captions for a post or product, Generate Instagram Carousel writes a carousel slide by slide with the cover hook, and Instagram Post Calendar plans a month of posts around your themes.

Set the tone of voice and the language first. The Keywords Everywhere extension shows engagement metrics on Instagram profiles and posts, free, and the same templates open inside ChatGPT once it is installed.

Captions that start with the point rather than a greeting get the tap on "more". Give the caption prompt the one thing you want the reader to feel or do, and ask for five variations so you can pick the opening line that reads best at a glance.
