The Keywords Everywhere Firefox Add-on

Keywords Everywhere is a free browser add-on that puts keyword data, like search volume, CPC and competition, right on the sites you already use.

This page is everything you need to manage it: install it, update it to the latest version, or remove it. Jump to what you need below.

How to install the add-on

Installing takes one click. Pick your browser below to open its official store, then click Add.

Keywords Everywhere works on Firefox, Chrome and Edge. There is no Safari version and no mobile app.

The add-on is free to install, and the free features work straight away. To unlock search volume and the other paid metrics, sign up for a free API key and add credits.

How to update to the latest version

Most of the time you do not need to do anything. Firefox updates add-ons automatically in the background.

You only update by hand when you want the newest version straight away, for example to use a feature that was just released.

To check for an update now, follow these three steps:

1

Open your Firefox add-ons

Click the menu button (the three lines) at the top right of Firefox, then choose "Extensions and Themes".

2

Find Keywords Everywhere

Open the "Extensions" tab and find the "Keywords Everywhere - Keyword Tool" add-on. Click it to see its details and the version you are on.

Check for updates

Click the gear icon at the top right, then choose "Check for Updates".

Firefox updates the add-on, and the version number on the details page changes to the latest.

On Chrome or Edge? See how to update the Chrome extension.

Check which version you have

Want to know if you are on the latest version? Open the Add-ons Manager (the menu, then "Add-ons and themes"), open the "Extensions" tab and click the Keywords Everywhere add-on.

The version number is shown on its details page. You can compare it against the newest release on our changelog.

How to uninstall Keywords Everywhere

Removing the add-on takes one click.

On Firefox, right-click the Keywords Everywhere icon in your toolbar and choose Remove Extension, then confirm. You can also open the Add-ons Manager (about:addons), click the three-dot menu on the Keywords Everywhere card and choose Remove.

On Chrome or Edge, right-click the icon and choose Remove, or remove it from the extensions page.

One thing to know: uninstalling takes the tool out of your browser, but it does not cancel a paid subscription. If you want to stop billing too, email help@keywordseverywhere.com and we will take care of it.

Questions you may have

Is the Keywords Everywhere add-on free?
Yes, the add-on is free to install on Firefox, Chrome and Edge. The free features, such as the LLM prompt templates and the Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter/X metrics, work right away. Search volume, CPC and the other paid metrics use credits, which you buy after signing up for a free API key.
Which browsers can I install it on?
Keywords Everywhere works on Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. There is no Safari version and no mobile app, so you will need one of those three desktop browsers.
How do I install the Keywords Everywhere Firefox add-on?
Open the official Firefox Add-ons page using the button on this page, then click Add to Firefox. It installs in one click and a small icon appears in your toolbar. After that, sign up for a free API key if you want the paid metrics.
Does the add-on update itself, or do I need to update it manually?
Firefox updates add-ons automatically in the background, so most people never need to do anything. You only update by hand when you want the newest version straight away, for example to use a feature that was just released. To do it now, open the Add-ons Manager, click the gear icon and choose Check for Updates. The steps are on this page.
How do I uninstall Keywords Everywhere from Firefox?
Right-click the Keywords Everywhere icon in your Firefox toolbar and choose Remove Extension, then confirm. You can also open the Add-ons Manager (about:addons), click the three-dot menu on the Keywords Everywhere card and choose Remove. Uninstalling does not cancel a paid subscription, so email help@keywordseverywhere.com if you also want to stop billing.
I installed or updated the add-on but a feature is missing. What should I do?
First make sure you are on the latest version, since newer features need a recent version of the add-on. Reload the page you are on, or close and reopen Firefox. If the feature is still missing, email help@keywordseverywhere.com and we will help you sort it out.
