The Keywords Everywhere Chrome Extension

Keywords Everywhere is a free browser extension that puts keyword data, like search volume, CPC and competition, right on the sites you already use.

This page is everything you need to manage it: install it, update it to the latest version, or remove it. Jump to what you need below.

How to install the extension

Installing takes one click. Pick your browser below to open its official web store, then click Add.

Keywords Everywhere works on Chrome, Firefox and Edge. There is no Safari version and no mobile app.

The extension is free to install, and the free features work straight away. To unlock search volume and the other paid metrics, sign up for a free API key and add credits.

How to update to the latest version

Most of the time you do not need to do anything. Chrome updates extensions automatically in the background, usually within a few hours.

You only update by hand when you want the newest version straight away, for example to use a feature that was just released.

To force the update now, follow these three steps:

1

Open your Chrome extensions

Click the three-dot menu at the top right of Chrome, go to "Extensions", then click "Manage Extensions".

2

Find Keywords Everywhere

On the Extensions page, find the "Keywords Everywhere - Keyword Tool" card. The version you are on is shown right next to the name.

3

Turn on Developer mode, then click Update

Switch on "Developer mode" with the toggle at the top right, then click the "Update" button that appears at the top left.

Chrome updates the extension, and the version number on the card changes to the latest.

On Microsoft Edge? The steps are the same, just start by typing edge://extensions into your address bar.

On Firefox? See how to update the Firefox add-on.

Check which version you have

Want to know if you are on the latest version? Open the Extensions page (the three-dot menu, then More tools, then Extensions) and find the Keywords Everywhere card.

The version number is shown right next to the name. You can compare it against the newest release on our changelog.

How to uninstall Keywords Everywhere

Removing the extension takes one click.

On Chrome or Edge, right-click the Keywords Everywhere icon in your toolbar and choose Remove, then confirm. You can also open the Extensions page, find the Keywords Everywhere card and click Remove.

On Firefox, right-click the icon and choose Remove Extension, or open about:addons and remove it from there.

One thing to know: uninstalling takes the tool out of your browser, but it does not cancel a paid subscription. If you want to stop billing too, email help@keywordseverywhere.com and we will take care of it.
